Inheritance was written in 2011 by an American author named Christopher paolini who was born on November 17, 1983 in california. The Eragon series was was first thought of by a young teen version of Christopher who loved magic, fantasy and dragons. His love for all of these things made it much easier for him to write a novel named Eragon the first book in the series. When Christopher first started writing this book it was just a hobby and he never thought it would get published.
When Christopher was fifteen years old he finished his first draft of Eragon and he gave it to his parents to read so that they could share there opinion on it. His parents later self published the book and prepared it for manuscripting. While all of this was being done Christopher made the map where all four books took place, he also made a dragon eye which is shown in all four books within the first few pages. ( in the book inheritance it is located just before the title page) The manuscript was later finished in 2001 and Christopher and his family started selling it to schools and book stores for the next couple of years.
Christopher paolini never said that he didn't incorporated real Life people into his book but if I put myself into his shoes as a teenager I think that is is safe to say that he see’s himself as the protagonist Eragon. I think this because most people especially young teenagers want to see themselves as the hero. This can be shown in nearly all tv shows and movies it is engraved into our minds that we should be heroes because they are the most popular and the most intelligent kinds of people and in the Eragon series Eragon is a hero, all he ever does is save the day this can be shown in nearly every chapter in all four books in the series and this is why I belief that Christopher paolini see’s himself as the protagonist Eragon in the novel inheritance.
